Berk-Tek's Premises Distribution Riser (PDR) and Premises Distribution Plenum (PDP) bulk fiber optic cables, available from 6-144 fibers, are ideal for backbone and horizontal applications. Higher fiber counts are bundled into multi-fiber sub-units for easier identification and increased fiber protection during storage, installation and termination. Premises Distribution cable is available with interlocked armor and a second jacket applied to provide "cable in a conduit" and greater crush resistance when necessary (PDRK/PDPK).
Berk-Tek's tight-buffer riser and plenum rated interconnect (IC) bulk fiber optic cables for Fiber-to-the-WorkstationTM, patch cord and jumper cord applications are available in 1 fiber simplex, 2 fiber zip-cord, and 2 & 4 fiber round constructions. Simplex and zip-cord designs are available w/ 1.6 mm, 2.0 mm, & 3.0 mm outer diameters. Other diameters are available upon request.
Berk-Tek's Heavy Duty Riser (HDR) and Heavy Duty Plenum (HDP) break-out or fan-out bulk fiber optic cables, available from 2-48 fibers, offer added protection and durability for higher tensile strength and easier installation. Heavy Duty cable is also available with interlocked armor and a second jacket applied to provide "cable in a conduit" and greater crush resistance when necessary (HDRK/HDPK).
